We are writing this letter to express our thanks and share our pleasant experience while working with the Mateo Team. We called Nelson one afternoon to inquire about a home he had listed on the market. Nelson invited us into his office that same day and we spent several hours discussing the ‘home-buying procedure’ and the home we were interested in. We were not, at the time, working with a realtor and did not feel any pressure from the Mateo Team to sign on with them.

We did end up working with the Mateo Team which turned out to be a great decision. Our phone calls and emails were promptly answered as well as all of the questions that needed answering. We spent long hours looking at houses and going over paperwork at their office. We always felt comfortable and always felt like we were getting accurate information. Thank you for selling our town home located at 4847 Ebb Tide Court Montclair, VA 22026. I can’t begin to tell you how fortunate my husband were to have had a friend refer you to us.

You made selling our home your top priority and made our transition to Texas much easier than we anticipated. You provided us with all of the required documents and even went the extra mile to provide us with neighborhood stats on an area in Texas we were considering moving into. In addition, you took care of all the inspections and attorney correspondences in a timely manner and kept us informed every step of the way. When we needed to get document notarized you brought a notary to us! I don’t know of another realtor that provides movie tickets and food at an open house. Furthermore, my husband and I were impressed that you kept track of the real estate market on a daily basis to get us the best price for our home.

I did not feel like you were “out to make a buck.” As a Virginia Law Enforcement Officer you are held to a high standard that carries on into your real estate dealings. We appreciate all of your trouble shooting. My husband and I had “issues” with the buyer and you took care of all of them and did not burden us with the trouble of dealing with his bad attitude.

I trusted you to close for us because we were rushed to make the move to Texas and could not make the closing. We were thinking about buying a new house for a little while, after talking to Nelson Mateo we started to really considering buying a bigger property somewhere in NOVA.
